Great tidbit of advice for working on digital painting:
Paint in color from the beginning, but use a black and white adjustment layer, and turn it on and off as you work to check the values!
Brilliant! I'm going to start using this today! I've been trying to work starting in greyscale and then colorizing it, but the grays just never go right and I'm awful at color filter settings. This method sounds so intuitive and simple! Thanks, Schoolism and Alexandria Neonkis!
